Shipping Policies & Procedures
Lion BBQ Direct offers free shipping inside the contiguous United States. Lion BBQ Direct does not ship to Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii.
Tracking Number: After your item ships, you will be provided the tracking information via email.
Valid Ship Address and Phone Number: Please make sure the phone number and shipping address are correct for your order in order to avoid delays in processing, delivering, or undeliverable fees.
Ground Shipments: We use UPS, USPS, or FedEx for smaller items, and larger items go freight. We reserve the right to choose which freightway carries your shipment. We do not, however, control the shipping companies. Once a shipment is in the hands of the delivery company, we cannot change shipping addresses, we cannot make a delivery happen on a certain day, and we can only approximate delivery times as we only have the information the delivery company makes available to us. All shipments, unless specifically denoted, are curb-side shipments.
Freight Shipments: When you buy an item such as a grill, it ships freight. In order for the freight company to deliver your items they will need a valid phone number to call and schedule a delivery appointment with you. Please allow 5-7 business days for a call from the freight carrier to schedule a delivery appointment.
All larger shipments, shipped via freight carrier, will require a signature at the time of delivery. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, Best of Backyard cannot be held responsible for damages that may occur during delivery.
How should you prepare to receive freight items?
When the driver arrives, it is within the consignee’s right to not let the driver leave until the item’s outer and inner packaging have been inspected for any damages. If damages are visible, take photos, take notes and inform the driver to take notes of said damages. Then, ask the driver to return to shipper the item(s) and inform Best of Backyard right away.
Remote or hard-to-reach areas (example: Martha’s Vineyard, etc.) may incur additional shipping fees. This applies to Free Shipping and regular shipping orders. If this is the case with your order, a Customer Service representative will contact you promptly to notify you of any additional charges. It is the customers responsibility to inform us of any problems with this type of delivery at the time of purchase. Best of Backyard is not responsible for shipping costs on merchandise not delivered due to a shipping companies inability to deliver to a particular location. Certain circumstances may include but are not limited to: narrow or winding roads, dirt or gravel roads, and vacant establishments. In-home delivery is neither implied nor offered without additional charge, and is not necessarily available even if the customer is willing to pay more for it.
Return / Exchange Policy & Procedures
We can assist with any exchanges, or possibly help you with fixing the situation you might be dealing with. Please call us as soon as you can for more details. If you would still like to return the item(s), please take a moment to read our return policy:
We do not accept returns after 30 days and do not accept used items.
If and when an item is returned in new “resalable” condition, Best of Backyard will issue a partial refund deducting shipping cost to and from the buyer’s shipping address, plus a 15% restocking fee. If an item is returned damaged or not in manufactures original packaging we can NOT offer a refund.
If you need to return freight items our return policy will apply. Please contact us so that we may provide further instructions.
Cancellation Policy: Please be sure that you want to make the purchase before submitting the order. Orders refused at delivery will be assessed all of the applicable fees including the return fee, our shipping costs and a 20% restocking fee.
Received Item Damaged: If item(s) arrived to buyer’s shipping address damaged, please provide Best of Backyard with pictures of the damaged product, the outer packaging, and include the serial number (if the item has one) so we can file a claim and work on assisting you with a replacement. If you would like to return without a replacement, please still provide pictures and we will provide further instructions.
Refunds: Refunds are applied after item(s) is(are) received to warehouse and inspected. When refunds are processed. credit will take usually 3-5 days after the order has been refunded by Best of Backyard
Best Of Backyard charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.
BEST OF BACKYARD does not warranty for commercial or institutional use. All warranties apply to original purchaser and begin at the date of purchase.
The warranty does NOT cover damage caused by ammonia, harsh abrasive cleaners, pool chlorine, suntan oils, blocks/or lotions and other harsh chemicals.
The warranty does NOT cover accidental damage such as fire, wind, freezing or weather damage caused by nature and any damage caused by unreasonable use or abuse.
The warranty does not cover rusting and or oxidation of furniture resulting from exposed metals that have been scratched, chipped, or not properly maintained. Rust seepage or bleeding form crevices or hidden surfaces inherent in some ornate designs. Any patio furniture placed for a period of time within five miles of salt water, pool/coastline, and hard water deposits or calcium build up due to minerals found in regional water supplies are NOT warranted. Due to the unique nature of hand applied finishes, fading and wearing is not included in this warranty. In addition, our warranty does not cover cast iron rusting, rocker, and swivel mechanisms, and glass or leg levers. A change in manufacture is beyond the control of
